Links to Other Sites |
| You may have noticed that this site concentrates on interesting places and great roads, and tends to gloss over some other more practical elements of touring abroad. For instance, there is very little mention of: phoning home, road signs, traffic lights, road works, and not a great deal on general road etiquette. This is not due to laziness on my part (ahem), but because this information is covered very well elsewhere. Also, I have not given many general motorcycle links because there are thousands around, and a quick look at a search engine like Yahoo! will list more than I could ever hope to. You will find some links to rider training sites if you visit my Riding Skills page. If you have enjoyed Ultrablade you may want to see one of my other sites by visiting Neal's World. In particular, you may wish to have a giggle at my scooter site Psychomoto. If you are based in the UK and are interested in Cornwall then you will want to visit West Cornwall Coast. This site has excellent photographs of the Cornish coastal scenery and interesting man-made features. It includes accurate positions for people who use a GPS receiver. |

If you would like to read about biking in Andalucia then visit the On Two Wheels site of a Norwegian couple who have written about their motorcycling exploits in southern Spain. It takes the form of stories about at least eight trips, and contains many good quality photographs and an article on the bars of Andalucia. They have updated it now to include trips to other countries, and have renamed the site Rocinantes Travels. A site which is very similar to mine, but deals with biking in the Alps is Biking In The Alps. Recommended. If you want to explore some of the best biking roads in the UK then the Motorcycle Routes site is a good place to start. Navigating the site is not very intuitive, but the information contained within is straight to the point. A very comprehensive motorcycle links site is Moto-directory. This contains links grouped into sections which includes one on touring. It is updated very regularly and is well worth a look.
Two other useful motorcycling sites are: Touring Europe good for hotel and ferry information. MotoBOTC. for touring, rallies and campsites. |
