| This was my second 'psychodelic' scooter. The colour was purple over a white base and it looked quite flash. However, I decided that some of the accessories were a bit tatty and so I soon conjured up plans to make the ultimate scooter (which was to become Interstellar Aubergine). Although Lucifer Sam 2 was quite quick I was rapidly gaining tuning skills so this bike needed to make way for a larger capacity machine.

I believe that Lucifer Sam 2 was an Li150 Special, originally, but I had given it an engine re-bore to 175ccs.

| This was the only scooter on which I had put 'Florida' bars. After having them on for a few months I decided that I didn't really like them. It did give me some real estate on which to write Cardiff, but I thought that they tended to cover up my magnificent paintwork. If you believe that, you'll believe anything!

If you look carefully at the photograph and compare it with my later bikes, you will see that I have not progressed as far as putting stripes on the front fairing. A good thing some folks would say.

| You can see from the photographs that this bike had a chrome megaphone exhaust. This particular one was a bit loud - another excuse to make a new bike.

You can see from this photograph my cheap form of rear mud-flap. I couldn't afford official ones, so I cut up bits of vinyl kitchen floor covering to make my own. This one looks particularly bad, doesn't it!
|
| Looking back after several years I can see that compared to my later bikes the plain front panel needed some highlighting. Some people think the plainer front looked better, but my attitude was that if I was going to make a flash bike it had to be the flashiest bike! Hence my next major project - Interstellar Aubergine. With a totally over-the-top name like that the bike had quite something to live up to - it did.
