The Sierra Railroad is probably one of the most famous shortlines in the USA. The line and locomotives, such as number 3, have appeared in numerous
movies. Today the line is powered by a handful of first generation diesels, with lumber traffic being the source of revenue. At Jamestown a preservation centre operates steam hauled trains and the roundhouse
