Hello and welcome to my collectables web site. On this site you will find pictures and reviews of dungeons and dragons products, action figures (Star Wars, Britains, DC Direct), Airfix (especially Eagles), fast food toys and monster toys.
I'm never really sure what to put on these index pages. I'll put some news on it I guess: updates etc. The only other thing I can think of that is worth doing is a "Why collect" rant. Check this out below the news section.
This site is updated at least every week (in my dreams!), so it is well worth checking back. I will get into the habit of noting what the updates are in the "news" section below.
You can contact me by clicking here.
I have also started a blog where I'll waffle about my life as a grown-up geek with kids and hopefully point my like minded site visitors in the direction of some cool stuff. You can get to the blog by clicking in the menu bar at the top or by clicking the blogger logo below:
Most of the items described on these pages are rated with from 1 to 5 stars with 1 being the worst (did I really pay money for that!) and 5 being the best (sell your loved ones into slavery in exchange for this!)

WHY COLLECT STUFF???
Good question. I have been a long time collector of comic books and dungeons and dragons games, although I know find myself having most of the titles I want and spending increasingly less money adding to these collections. Maybe it was something to do with turning 30 last year, but I started to get a fondness for old toys (70s & 80s), particularly those I could remember from my childhood. Over the course of a few months I gradually began to buy a few things, and branched out a little finding a passion for Universal Monster movies, fast food toys, action figures and memorabilia from events of my childhood (football matches, new magazines). Of course, this is a lot of stuff I could potentially be buying and this cast some doubt over my strategy. I remember asking one of the owners of the Hamilton Toy Collection (a museum of toys in Calendar in Scotland-definitely worth a visit-they have the best collection of toys, from teddy bears, to toy soldiers to sci-fi - there is also an attached shop which has some nice stock) how he decided what to buy - you could never hope to own everything. He said to me, "Just buy things that you like", and this has been my guiding principle in slowly building a collection of toys. I don't own a lot of anything, but what I do own, I really like. I guess the main limiting factor for my collection is space. I would love to be able to keep all of my collections somewhere where I could easily access them and where I could enjoy them, unfortunately storage space in our home is a premium and things are scattered across various cupboards, wardrobes and the loft. My ambition is to own a house large enough so that I could devote a room to my collections, but I think that is some way off. I am not sure if I actually answered my question there. . . I guess I collect things because it gives me something interesting to spend my salary on, for the nostalgia, and I guess because a big part of me never really grew up.
I mainly look on eBay for things or travel up to the Hamilton Toy Collection. I also sell a lot of old games on eBay (mainly to raise funds to buy other toys!). I dig these up at charity stores and car boot sales. The main things I pursue here are Games Workshop games which have become very collectable and not too hard to track down (yet).
