Deconstructed Self

I am a writer only when I write.
I am a sleeper when in bed at night.
I am a driver when I'm in the car,
A cook when cooking. Tell me what you are.

Are you a role, an action you perform?
A walker walking? Isn't that the norm?
Are you a kisser when you kiss,
Or are you really more than this?

Listen to your inner voices. Tell me what they say.
Do you have a lot of choices? Can you go or stay?
Can you speak, or sit in silence? Can you dance or sing?
Do you differ from the others? What is it that you bring?

I am nothing, nothing, nothing. I am nobody.
When I act, I am an actor; otherwise, I'm free
to live in my imagination. There, I am a star!
Stay with me in conversation. Tell me who you are.
