Cath (KATH) is one of the nations that sends its initiates to Selamen, to be trained by the Druids of the Holy Isle. When they return they become priests, mages and lawgivers. The people are Cathari (kath-ARE-ee).

Except for the differences noted below, the nation is essentially the same as Selamen. Its coast is on the Pirate Sea.

The people are great sailors, and carry most of the goods that move between the northwest and northeast. They control The Teeth, the two islands that mark the place where the Pirate Sea becomes the Inner Sea.

They wear plainer colors and more jewelry than is usual in the northwest, and the women pierce their ears and pass through them the finger bones of men they have slain.

The women often fight behind their men in battle, and are responsible for looting the bodies afterwards.
