Westerness (WEST-er-ness) is one of the nations that sends initiates to Selamen, to be trained by the Druids of the Holy Isle. When they return they become priests, mages and lawgivers. The people are called Westerners.

Except for the differences noted below, the nation is essentially the same as Selamen. The coast is on the Inner Sea.

Unlike most of the northwest, Westerners do not expose children of Cheuri blood, instead they honor them.

There are therefore more humans with white skin and flame-red hair than there are anywhere else. The people show some of the personality traits of the Cheuri. They have no word for compassion. At their worst they can be vicious and indolent. But they are also fanatically loyal to the few friends they make, and they love all forms of beauty.
