Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT)

The Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT) is a UK-wide charity offering support, information and training on acquired brain injury in children.

The impact of acquired brain injury on a child and family is enormous and lifelong. Families are often unprepared to deal with the issues and often unaware of the services their child will need or how to access them. Families remain at the heart of CBIT which works hard to make people more aware of the issues faced by children and families affected by an acquired brain injury; they do this because they believe that they can make a difference to the lives of children and families.

The website "Include Me In", offers practical guidance for parents, families and organisations to help and support young people with acquired brain injury in the North East of England.

You can access the site at www.includemein.org It is based on regional good practice and covers recent DfES/DoH legislation and the first CBIT NE annual Christmas concert is to be held on Saturday 13th December at 6.00pm, in St. Nicholas' Cathedral.
