Travelling by car along the 'old coast road' (properly known as Whitley Road, the A191), turn off to go north along Station Road towards Forest Hall, and pass under the metro bridge. St Bart's is set back from the road, about 500 metres on the left, just past the Methodist Church. Car parking is usually available through the gateway just past the church and signposted Percy Hedley School. Church and School share the car park.

If you're travelling to church along Station Road from the direction of the Great Lime Road, St Bart's is on the right, and before you go under the metro bridge.

It is easy to get to St Bart's by metro. Get off at Benton station and walk down the hill past the Methodist church If you're coming from the coast (towards Newcastle city centre) use the footbridge to get over the line, then walk down hill. If you find the steps on the bridge difficult, avoid them by going up Station Approach first. Then, double back on yourself when you reach the main road.
