In 1861 Henry was a shoe maker whilst his wife was a “brace runner”. They were living in Saint Margaret’s, Leicester. This census revealed that Albert King Bamkin was born.

In 1881 Shoe Finisher. When he married, Henry's surname was recorded as Bampkin. Died 1883

Elizabeth A.K. Rolleston¹³⁹ (above) appears in the 1901 census as living with her brother George Rolleston who kept a lodging house. Was this Rolleston House that the Bamkin brothers worked at and John Burns Bamkin remembers visiting?

Sarah Elizabeth had a brother called William Henry Foxon …. Their mother was called Ann
