Services at 9 a.m. every Sunday except the third Sunday in the month (when there is a family service which starts at 10:15). Holy communion 1st and 3rd Sundays, Morning Prayer on 2nd and 4th. Weekday communion: 1st and 3rd Wednesday's. 9:30 a.m. There is also a monthly Prayer and Study Group (See the Village Vine for details) There was a Saxon Church recorded here in the Domesday Survey of 1086 A.D., there is now no trace of this building. The earliest part of the present Church is the Early English Chancel. Notable features of the Church are the Geometrical Tracery Windows in the South Aisle, The Sale memorial to a former Rector (early 17th Century), the Jacobean Pulpit, Churchwardens chest (1662) and early 17th century porch. ACCESS: The church can be approached quite closely by car. A gravel drive takes you to the entrance where assistance will be required into the church. The church itself has wide aisles. |
