Robin of Weston - the "first panto"

Two versions of the script are available

Freya Tuck helps Robin's men. Pauline who played Freya only appeared in the one panto as the newly arrived Rector. Maybe next year?

Some of Robin's men with Freya Tuck (The new Rector). From left to right Gilbert Whitehand (Charlotte Charles), Scill Warlet (Gemma Langsdale), Much Millerson (Jamie Bamkin), Robin Hood (Diane Poole), Freya Tuck (Pauline Collins) and Little John (John Dawson).

The Dancers in Robin of Weston. In front on "the flat" showing the sheriff's castle. Faces you can see from left to right are Sophie Brown, Michaela Midgely and Caroline Icke. The dancers were requested by the Sheriff to liven up his archery contest - but after seeing them he decided he needed something "hot" (see below and TIMEWARP). The dancers went on to form the basis of the Weston Girls Dance Group.

Mandy Simpson appearing as the Fire Eater. Mandy went on to marry the lighting guy and to form the group TIMEWARP

The special guest star was Mandy Barrett who went on to marry the lighting guy Alan Simpson …and become Mandy Simpson. Mandy came on as a witch and performed fire-eating live on stage at the Archery contest. Alan and Mandy Simpson are professional performers who live (March 2001) in Weston-on-Trent.

The soldiers: from left to right Adam Biggs, Chris Dawson, Farral Scott and Helen Cook. The leather clad figure is Cheri (Lee Cooper) as the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham. The soldiers characters were based on the Telly-Tubbies which were all the rage in 1998 (and still are - hence the rather odd looking swords). The scenery was produced by Gabby Wood and Steve Spedding.

Terry Smith was very helpful in getting the first panto to the public. He arranged for a video projector and signed each actors certificate...thanks

Old Blind Lemon Pugh transforms into King Richard (Mr. Terry Smith - special guest star). The standing figure to the left is Maid Marian a.k.a. Swampy (Lydia Bamkin). To the right exiting is Dotty Notty (Ian Cook) and background right is Prince John (Simon Hudson). In front of Marian is Gilbert Whitehand (Charlotte Charles), Scill Warlet (Gemma Langsdale) and Gish of Ashbourne (Louise Webster).
