Perhaps Josh was right when he said Paul may be doing it for popularity reasons, and now he's getting guilty for doing this now that he has to potentially face Big G on Friday.

I think Paul is actually a normal , slightly shy lad, who talks a good game with his mates but has met his match on live TV when confronted by a girl who is attached to someone else, coming on to him, and who he likes. Most lads who have had an honest upbringing will act in a similar way, flirt, cuddle, be totally smitten, then realises that all he does is seen by her other half and anyone in the world with a PC (not something most people have to deal with) so he freezes.
