Image-conscious Darren has hit a shaving crisis head-on.
He ran out of his all-important after-shave and wasn't
prepared to attack the bristles without it.
And as the fear kicked in he entered the diary room to plead
with Big Brother for more.
He chanced his arm and said: "I've got no after-shave
left and the reason why I didn't put it on the shopping list is
because it's so expensive." But he seemed prepared for any
eventuality when he added: "I know you'll say 'no' but I
thought I'd ask."
Later, when Big Brother asked him if he had a preference,
Darren said: "The one I usually get is really quite
expensive so I won't ask you to get that."
Darren also reassured him: "If I can't have anything
I'll use water, Anna's perfume, E45 and Dettol."
But as Darren awaited Big Brother's reply his desire to look
pristine finally overcame his fear of shaving without aftercare:
"I'm shaving and that's the last of it," he told
Craig. "Beggars can't be choosers."
Darren went on to reveal his nightmarish history of shaving:
"When I first started shaving I didn't know what I was
doing. I was like mountains."
Craig empathised as he said: "I'm allergic to a razor.
The close shave makes the bumps start because the hairs get
inverted."
Pondering his crisis Darren said: "Allergies are a pain
in the anus."
