• lots of guides say never pluck ABOVE the eyebrow. forget this. lots of us need to tidy up that area, just do it very carefully and don't get over keen ...
• bonjela won't kill the pain. a large glass of wine will. DO NOT use astringent or toner before you pluck to 'open the pores' this will just make it sting more.
• buy some really good tweezers, and clean them. keep them with you in your handbag and pluck out the stray hairs as they appear.
• red ouchy sore patch after-care - any eye gel or cucumber.
• do it in the bath. steam does help to open pores.
• do it when you're really annoyed. BUT don't do it around the time of your period, cos apparently we're more sensitive to pain then ...
• if you have no artistic talent whatsoever or are a big wuss, get a friend to pluck them for you. Rachel and Monica do that...
• some women apparently never need to pluck - take a moment to hate them.
• most men find eyebrow plucking alarming / repulsive, so only do it in front of 'him' if you don't want him anymore.
• a friend of jules insists that getting them waxed professionally is much less painless. we remain unconvinced tho.
• btw - if your man has very well plucked eyebrows .. could be there's something you don't know ...
