We try to encourage, support, befriend, teach, respect and recognise
other women and grrls online regardless of race, religion, political
standpoint, age, orientation, employment status or anything else.
Promote individuality and freedom of expression and opinion, through new
media. Have a sense of humour and laugh at ourselves and the rest of the
world. Enjoy being a grrl. Have some fun!!
When did
PlanetGrrl start ?
March 1998. Jules started PlanetGrrl. We re-named ourselves PlanetGrrl in
November 1998. We're called PlanetGrrl because it was one of the few grrl
domains not taken by a porn site or the chickclick gals. It mean Nuthin. Really.
Except its for Grrls all over this planet.

Jules does. We are independant and not backed by any advertising or outside
agencies. We owe no-one nuthin.
Do you know each other in Real Life ?
It is rumoured that the first PlanetGrrl contributors RL meeting involved a
horror film fest, vodka, and dip. Follow up meetings involve SATCs
marathons.
Whats it all about ?
Expressing yourself, ranting raving and anything we want
.Are we a bunch of men-hating cynical bitter twisted individuals ? No. We're
women in or interested in new media and technology. If we're cynical or
twisted, thats purely coincidental. We actually like men, sometimes even
date them and some of us even have them as close personal friends !
However, some of us went a bit far recently and married some. Ho-hum. Most
of us are modern feminists (we know we're not 'there' yet). Are we teenagers
? No, surprisingly ;) ... some of us are as old as 33 !. Golly. We all work
in new media and technology.
