| The Matrix does look as good
on vid as on the big screen. The Matrix is a fabtastic mix of bladerunner (lots of scenes),
terminator (lobby scene very reminiscent of T1) terminator 2 , bruce lee, john woo
(general kicking and excellent filming of coats), ghostbusters (yes really, the frying gun
thing looked very much like the gb teams ghost gun), conspiracy, myth, fetish clubs,
techno, goths and post-goths, fear of AI, tron, alice in wonderland, sam peckinpa-watsit,
manga and general 2000AD comic genre as well as original special effects.
Top points for invention of
bullet time. brilliant and stunning.
Special points for the
excellent use of clothes. Who would think a lime green tie could look so darn cool ?
