The Ton Class Association- A
site dedicated to the Ton Class minesweepers of the Royal Navy
and affiliated ships such as the 'Ham' and 'Ley' class that
together made up the backbone of the Royal Navy's mine warfare
fleet and played an important part in fishery protection, inshore
patrol etc. This promises to be an extremely comprehensive web
site with pictures, newspaper cuttings and information on each
vessel.

real totem pole by a Native American tribe. It was said that if
she ever left port without it she would never return. When she
was sold to Israel the totem pole was removed. But as the Israeli
'Dakar' she was lost with all hands

wreck.
