SHERWOOD CYCLING CLUB

CLUB RUNS
[Saturday] [Sunday] [Wednesday]

Photographs from a recent Sunday Club Run at Margret's, Redmile in the Vale Of Belvoir.
Weekend club runs plus one run during the week are held throughout the year.
Return is normally around 1.30 p.m. You will need a reliable, light bike and some experience to enjoy these. Carry a basic tool kit, money, a drink and a little food.
The Club Captain, Ed Ward, can be contacted on 0115 9615477 or by email for further information.
On all these rides each rider is responsible for his or her own safety and should obey all the rules of the road. If conditions are potentially hazardous (because of weather or traffic conditions etc it is up to the individual to decide whether to proceed). It is recommended that a hard shell helmet be worn.
Saturday runs meet at Lowdham village green at 9.30 a.m. leaving promptly at 9.45 a.m.
These runs attract riders from various other clubs. A cafe stop is included after about half way and the venue alternates between the Limes Cafe near Bilsthorpe and the Little Bistro at Sedgebrook near Grantham. The routes vary each week and avoid the use of main roads wherever possible. Distances are usually around 50 miles.
Sunday runs meet by the railway bridge at the junction of Shearing Hill and Burton Road, Gedling, Nottingham (Grid Ref SK 624420).
These are a similar format to the first group on a Saturday but destinations are more variable. Distances depend on the weather but are usually about 50 miles.
In the months of October to April the meeting time is 9.30 a.m. and during May to September 9.00 a.m.
During the summer, the runs may be a bit longer to take advantage of the weather.
