    IGC approval now includes use with:

    Garmin GPS12, 12 XL, 12CX , 48, 80-Mil, 89, 90 and 95,  55  software versions 1.12 or later, GPS II, II plus, III, III pilot, IIIPlus , 92, GPSCOM 190, GPSMAP 195 and 295.   

    This  version of the EW barograph, now called the "EW Flight Recorder" is approved by the IGC for GPS verification of badge claims up to and including Diamond C and is an approved barograph for most FAI controlled air sports at all levels including world records.

    Its light weight and rugged construction, along with low power consumption (using internal PP3 9v battery) and unique data security functions make it ideal for all air sports. They have been successfully used by glider pilots, skydivers, hang glider pilots and balloonists the world over for all types of flight verification up to and including world records.

    Simply connect it to any suitable hand held GPS receiver and utilize our EW View software to make post flight analysis easy, accurate and informative.

    Technical specification

    Sample rate 1 sec- 999 sec..

    Storage is variable depending on sample rate. Typically: up to 11 hours @ 12 seconds with GPS connected. Up to 128 hours @ 30 seconds for altitude only. 

    Altitude range - 350m to 12.32 Km. (special 15 Km version available)

    NMEA 0183 1.5 and 2. GPS output supported. Most GPS receivers with NMEA 0183 will be acceptable although not specifically allowed when using the equipment for IGC Gliding Badge flights. For gliding badge flight verification Garmin GPS12, 12 XL, 12CX , 48, 80-Mil, 89, 90 and 95,  55  software versions 1.12 or later, GPS II, II plus, III, III pilot, IIIPlus , 92, GPSCOM 190, GPSMAP 195 and 295 have IGC approval for use with the EW.

    Fast sample port built in only requires simple switch to a get 6 second sample rate whenever you want it.

    Motor glider engine detection port built in requires open/close switch to activate.
