RF12

Intended Livery
RF12 is currently in store, but is sufficiently complete to be able to move between storage locations under its own power. The nearside body panels had been removed prior to purchase, and we therefore chose to make this the more thorough restoration project of the two Hampson's vehicles. It is proposed to restore this RF to its initial livery of green and grey.

The 50th Anniversary celebrations for the RF are already being organised by John Gray, and for our part we are looking to see how many of the fleet we can have mobile for that event. Whilst the Spring of 2001 is still some way off as I write this in the final quarter of 1999, our preparations have already commenced with a move of RF12.

October 1999, and steam cleaning is the first job on Lucy 12

Now, Where did they park that RM?
Assessment of the required work will be a cleaner job now!

RF12 came out into the open on 23rd February 2001 in order to change sheds.

The opportunity was taken to provide some pictures of the nearside, which had been stripped of panels and more by a previous owner. Work is not planned to commence on this until 2002.
