1995 saw Mayfair magazine receiving up to 3 letters a week from an avid reader in Seattle. Not once did they respond or encourage him, but he never lost heart, sharing with them his every opinion and fantasy, which amounted to about the same thing.
He was, as is immediately obvious, casebook paranoid schizotypal. Bubbling with energy, his dark and wild scenarios appear to be inspired by oretty much anything that catches his eye, from cars to celebrity magazines to mobile phones to a bottle of his own medication. I hope someone was able to help him live normally.
I only have a few of these handwritten manuscripts, which I have reproduced as faithfully as I can without actually having access to a scanner. Anyway, trust me, typewritten is easier on the eye.
