This day we will explore how chiropractors view pregnancy and consider new perspectives for our work with pregnant mothers. Nina will demonstrate some soft tissue techniques. There will be an opportunity to view Dr Carol Phillips DVD “Witnessing the miracle of birth”, which shows how structural imbalance in the body can result in in-utero constriction for babies. This is a video of the birth process with 3D animation (more info on video cf www.newdawnpublish.com). We may also view some clips from her video on soft tissue techniques for pregnancy. Nina will outline some of the revised anatomy and physiology in pregnancy and then talk in detail about the change and function of the spine and pelvis in each trimester, including labour and the postnatal stage. She will then present some of the chiropractic approaches specific treatment techniques. She will talk about what areas may be involved in each stage and explore methods in how to treat the soft-tissues. Bristol
