In what has almost become an annual fixture, Wishaw facing Killie in the League Cup, the home team for the first time this season, had twelve fit players before the match.
Killie started the match well and after sustained pressure went ahead in the fourteenth minute when Becky Fisher lost possession in her own 18 yard box. The Killie winger whipped the ball across the goalmouth and gave the Killie striker the easiest of opportunities to put the away side one in front.
Five minutes later Wishaw could have made it level after a Fisher free kick put Pamela Liddell in the clear but a fine save by Caroline Collie denied her the equaliser.
Killie once more took the game to Wishaw and in the twenty-seventh minute could have gone further ahead but for Julie Price winning a one on one with a Killie striker.
Wishaw should have been on level terms on the half hour mark when Fisher once again set Liddell up but with only Collie to beat she put the ball well wide.
Half time: Wishaw 0, Killie 1
Wishaw started the second half well but were caught on the break ten minutes into the half. Killie broke upfield and played the ball into the Wishaw goal area, Price dived for the ball, caught it in both hands and had the ball kicked out of them by a Killie player. The Killie striker then ran onto the loose ball and put it into the net to put them two up. Despite Wishaw's protests the goal stood.
But for a brilliant one hand save by Price, Wishaw could have gone further behind three minutes later after a fine move by Killie down the left.
With less than ten minutes left to play Wishaw managed to pull one back when Fisher once again set Liddell up. Collie parried the shot but the Wishaw striker made no mistake at the second attempt.
Wishaw then pressed for the equaliser but Killie held on and ran out worthy winners.
Best for Wishaw were Michaela Burns, making her debut, Julie Price and Bernadette Speedie.
Wishaw: Price, Rundell, McWhirter, McCloy, McDowall, Liddell, Fisher, Burns, McConville, Speedie, Taylor. Sub: McInarlin.

After their disappointing defeat last week Wishaw bounced back and hit top form on Sunday. Wishaw were still suffering from a shortage of players and travelled with only eleven.
In the first minute Wishaw were almost caught on the hop and almost went one down when East Kilbride burst down the left and sent a shot goalward which hit the top of the bar and landed in keeper Price's arms. It would be another 25 minutes before EK had another direct shot on goal.
In the sixth minute Pamela Liddell broke down the left leaving EK defenders trailing and her shot from 15 yards was too good for the keeper and put Wishaw one ahead.
Five minutes later Fisher collected a Price kick-out in midfield, sent a beautiful pass through to Nicky Taylor who calmly rounded the goalkeeper and placed the ball in the net to put Wishaw two up.
A minute later after a nice one-two between Liddell and Taylor down the right sent Liddell through on goal and her shot gave the keeper no chance and gave Liddell her second of the day.
In the 25th and 26th minutes EK had chances to score but Julie Price was equal to their efforts.
Natalie McConville should have scored in the 28th minute when she beat the last defender but with only the keeper to beat her shot went wide of the post. Three minutes later McConville then set Bernadette Speedie up but she also put it wide.
Half Time: East Kilbride 0, Wishaw 3
Straight from the kick-off Liddell almost scored after she sprinted down the right and swung the ball into the box. The ball beat the keeper but a defender kicked the ball off the goal line and into safety.
Two minutes later Taylor, who was having an excellent match, gained possession in her own half, beat her marker, pushed the ball through to Liddell down the right wing who beat her defender then swung the ball to the far side of the 18 yard box to McConville who beat the keeper to the ball and put it in the back of the net.
Pamela Liddell was causing the EK defence all sorts of problems and almost grabbed her hat-trick in the sixth minute of the second half but her shot drifted past the post.
She made up for it one minute later when Becky Fisher, who had been working tirelessly in midfield, picked up the ball from an EK goal kick, sent the ball through to Liddell for her to rifle it into the net from 18 yards for her first hat-trick of the season.
With twelve minutes of the half gone Fisher scored the goal of the match. She gained possession mid way in her own half, sprinted forward and as the EK defence prepared to spring the offside trap Fisher ran straight through and with the defence unable to catch her shot the ball into the net from 18 yards out.
With the score at 6-0 Wishaw began to tire and midway through the half EK pulled one back.
Wishaw weren't quite finished and with only minutes of the game left Fisher almost scored a replica of her first when she gained possession in her own half and once again headed straight for the opposition goal with the EK defenders unable to catch her. This time she rounded the EK keeper and stroked the ball into the net to give them a convincing 7-1 victory.
Wishaw: Price, McCloy, Speedie, Rundell, McWhirter, Nelson, Liddell, Fisher, Taylor, James, McConville.
