Here are some additional images and information concerning the "Daneste" which was a conversion we used to carry out on the Suzuki Super Carry / Bedford Rascal from 1987 to 1993.

    The conversion gave:  One single bed or one double bed, four forward facing seats for travelling with belts and a two seater lounge when on site - for the size of van (10'9" long x 4'6¹/2" high) this was a very successful layout for two people on holiday, even with the beds in place there was enough floor space remaining to use a Porta Potti!
       Most Daneste's  had an elevating roof (vertical lift), fridge, two burner hob and grill, cupboards etc.
    The 1000 cc petrol engine would return approximately 30-35+ M.P.G. A happy cruising speed was 50-60 mph, top speed was approx 80+ mph. 5 speed gearbox.
There was no diesel option.
These images are for guidance only, there were a few minor changes to the "Daneste" design however they all had very flat and comfortable beds.
