'DANESTE II' ON NISSAN SERENA 
PRODUCED FROM 1995 TO 1999


The 'Daneste II' was based on the Nissan Serena M.P.V. It had a choice of a either a 1.6 ltr.  or 2.0 ltr petrol Engine or a 2.3 ltr diesel.  The 'Daneste II' has excellent driving characteristics, visibility, and refinement plus all the advantages that a compact Wheelhome Motorcaravan can offer, practical and comfortable living accommodation for two people whilst
holidaying, and up to five forward facing seats with belts (four lap and  diagonal, one lap) for taking friends and relatives out for the day - complete with refreshment facilities!

STANDARD SPECIFICATION FOR THE 'DANESTE II'


Nissan Serena GX, 1.6 ltr petrol engine. Power steering. Front door side impact beams. 
Engine immobiliser.   Wheel trims. Tailgate with heated rear window. Fold flat door mirrors, without losing setting.   Stereo radio  cassette. Colour matched elevating roof with gas strut assistance, there is a storage compartment
within the roof and a useful shelf over the cab when the roof is raised. (NOTE. Some earlier Daneste II s had a vertical lift E/R)   Two rear, forward facing seats contoured for comfort with three point inertia seat belts. The seat boxes are made of steel for strength, and are fully  carpeted they can easily be removed for load carrying.   Stainless steel two burner hob, grill, sink and drainer.     Under floor six
gallon (27 ltr) fresh water tank with water being electrically pumped to the sink via a single tap. Table. Two double fluorescent lights. 
Lined grey curtains.   Fire Extinguisher.  Fridge, 12 volt compressor type 40 litres, or a two way gas and 12 volt absorption type.  Auxiliary battery 90/110 amp.    Two single beds, 6'2" long x  2'0" wide.  NOTE  all facilities remain accessible when the beds are in use. These beds are flat and very comfortable thanks to Wheelhome's over cushions, that are contoured on the underside to match the shape of the fully reclined cab seats, this leaves the upper surface flat - as a good bed ought to be. 

The price new was in the region of £22,000.

Two types of E/R were produced, both offered full standing headroom with the E/R raised, but lowered, overall height
was only 6'2".

Either two single beds or one double can be created.

This is how the rear seats would be set up for carrying rear passengers, all with proper seat belts, total seating capacity was five.
