Lake
is really a suburb of Sandown, and the town itself offers little for
the visitor. The character of the town changes as you near the cliff
path, where the village becomes more attractive.. The beach at Lake
is quieter as it's difficult to access, it is also narrower and mostly
disappears at high tide when bathers have to retreat to the sea wall.
There is a good Watersports school in the summer months, where you can
hire windsurfers, surfboards etc.
The sea wall has many beach huts, which mainly belong to the locals. Wight Water Adventure
