GO Successes ...

Past performances ...

Over the years we have had many successes, both in individual and relay events, and we have been proud to have had several British age group champions, winners of the Jan Kjellstrom (JK) - one of the UK's leading event, and also individual winners at National Events (Championship standard races). As well as these high profile events, we frequently have runners both winning, and at the sharp end, in both Badge and Colour Coded events throughout the region.

As well as many excellent individual results, as a club GO have been fortunate to have had great strength in depth in the slightly older men's classes, and for several years have had some good relay results, including several British and JK doubles. The ladies in the club (not to be outdone) have also had some fine team results and continue to perform well.

So what of the future ??

GO are fortunate to have a good crop of active and good juniors who have had some fine results over the last couple of years. As they mature and improve, we can look forward to some more good junior performances in years to come.

Successes elsewhere ...

As well as successes in the areas of competition, as a club, GO have staged many first class events in recent years. On an annual basis we try to organise at least one Badge standard event, and normally two Colour Coded events, plus on occasions other races as time, manpower and areas permit. Club members have also been instrumental in organising and playing major roles in the British Championships, JK, and in 1999 the World Championships, with Tim Pugh from GO being the overall event maistro ... you don't get much higher than that! In 2005, GO will almost certainly also be actively involved in the World Cup races being held in the South East of England.
