Who's Who ...
Peter says ...
My favourite events are on fast, runnable areas with controls that are not hidden but just hard enough to ensure
that careless navigation will be punished. The 2002 OO Trophy at Ambersham was a shining example!
I met my long suffering wife, Jenny, on a weekend trip organised by the Loughborough University Orienteering
Club - little did she know that it would lead to 26 years of getting her legs cut to pieces by brambles and stumbling
through marshes, tussocky grass and waist high heather!
I am a Grade One Controller and have controlled a number of major events including one JK and one British
Championships.
I have been fortunate to represent England at Junior, Senior and Veteran levels and be British Champion in my
age class twice ( 1973 and 1992 or was it 1793? ).
Our two children, Chris and Kath, compete occasionally."

"I have been orienteering for over 30 years and despite still making stupid mistakes I just love the sport. I am
attracted by the combination of running in the countryside whilst using brain power to navigate at speed and
under pressure.
