What are the benefits of joining Guildford Orienteers (GO) and why should I become
a member of British Orienteering ?
As a member of GO the Benefits will include:
- Paid up Senior members are entitled to free entry
at all GO events.
- Junior club members are entitled to free entry
at all GO events, plus GO Juniors can run free at team and relay events where
they are entered by and represent GO (BOC, JK, Peter Palmer, SE Relays, CompassSport Cup or Trophy, Yvette Baker Trophy)
- AllGO, the club magazine and AllGO news sheets (by email or post)
- Email updates and alerts on future club activities & events.
- Club runs every week, plus some other training.
- Being part of a team, running in club colours and making like-minded friends.
- Periodic social events.
- Competing in the club championships.
The Benefits of becoming a GO Local Member of British Orienteering include:
- Discounted entry to regional and district events within the South East region.
- Discounts from companies through the BOF member benefit scheme (e.g. Field & Trek, Cotswold Camping, YHA).
- Insurance cover (liability to 3rd parties) at events registered with British Orienteering.
- Biannual Newsletter from BOF.
- Eligibility to compete in the JK, national, regional and district events
- Papers and vote at the British Orienteering AGM
The Benefits of becoming a GO National Member of British Orienteering include the above, plus:
- Quarterly issues of the British Orienteering magazine, Focus, and for juniors three copies of the junior magazine
