Who ? My name is Tony Thompson, I'm English and have been involved in photography, on and off since a teenager. My main photographic interests are wildlife and landscape, as you may have gathered if you have already taken a look at the rest of the site. I hold the Associateship distinction of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) and the Distinction of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (DPAGB). I also submit photographs to some of the various international photographic exhibitions, with varying degrees of success. A few of those acceptanced have produced medals from FIAP (Fédération Internationale l'Art Photographique) and the PSA (Photographic Society of America), most can be found in the galleries of this site. |

Where ? I live in the South East of England, about 30 miles south of London, on the border between the counties of Kent and East Sussex. This is a fairly rural area with rolling country side interspersed with small towns and villages. A pleasant place but one which is rapidly becoming over crowded.

Why ? Having always been interested in both photography and computers this seems like a good way of combining both. It developed from a change from traditional darkroom printing to digital printing. Once I had the digital files the next logical step was to share them with other, like minded people, using the Internet. |
