Who ?

My name is Tony Thompson, I'm English and have been involved in photography, on and off since a teenager. My main photographic interests are wildlife and landscape, as you may have gathered if you have already taken a look at the rest of the site. I hold the Associateship distinction of the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) and the Distinction of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (DPAGB). I also submit photographs to some of the various international photographic exhibitions, with varying degrees of success. A few of those acceptanced have produced medals from FIAP (Fédération Internationale l'Art Photographique) and the PSA (Photographic Society of America), most can be found in the galleries of this site.

Where ?

I live in the South East of England, about 30 miles south of London, on the border between the counties of Kent and East Sussex. This is a fairly rural area with rolling country side interspersed with small towns and villages. A pleasant place but one which is rapidly becoming over crowded.

Why ?

Having always been interested in both photography and computers this seems like a good way of combining both. It developed from a change from traditional darkroom printing to digital printing. Once I had the digital files the next logical step was to share them with other, like minded people, using the Internet.
