Nutrition is the science of how the body uses food, not the skill of being a cook.  Food is any solid or liquid which when swallowed can supply any of the following: -

  • Material from which the body can produce movement, heat or other forms of energy
  • Materials for growth, repair or reproduction
  • Substances necessary to regulate the production of energy or the processes of growth and repair

Nutrients are split into six categories, tithe the first three providing calories, they are: -

  • Carbohydrates
  • Fats
  • Proteins
  • Vitamins
  • Minerals
  • Water

There are many diets out there, some good, some not so good and some at the best hazardous to your health. See more about some of these diets in our "Fads !!!" section.

XHOG is not a diet, what it does supply is a healthy, "Balanced" eating plan, based on an individuals requirements, to allow weight control.
