Normally, children remain at the School until the end of the summer term of the year in which they are
seven years of age on or before 31st August, when they mostly transfer to Wimborne Junior School.
Prior to entering Wimborne Junior School, a parents' evening is arranged to inform and discuss with parents
of new entries, the education provided at that school. Children also visit and meet their new teachers as
part of an Induction Programme developed by both schools.
Any child who enters Wimborne Infant School from outside the catchment area must, at the appropriate time,
apply to Wimborne Junior School. Their Policy criteria will then be applied to all to applicants.
N.B. It is not guaranteed that out of catchment area children will be offered a place at the Junior School.
