We were very pleased to be able to progress this application to get some additional colour to that side of the Square.
The Proprietor wanted to use brown as part of the scheme but we were keen to also get a lighter colour to contrast as the black tiles covered such a large area.
The colours chosen were "Edwardian Purple Brown" and "Edwardian Deep Cream". These colours complement each other but are also warm colours which can stand against the black tiles. The grilles have also been painted so they are not so dominant. The Proprietor has paid for a notice board to be used for advertising music events - this is now fixed to the right of the door.
The hand painted signage has been cleverly designed to represent the shop’s trade by using images of old vinyl records to represent the "O"s together with musical score scrolls.
