This is a good unspoilt traditional shopfront which features a double bay and attractive fascia details. It had already been painted in signal red and cream (traditional Edwardian colours, well suited to dual hardware and model shop function) with hand painted signage. This had been done before the shopfronts scheme came into being.

The shopfront always looked bright and welcoming during the day but was let down at night by the gloomy aluminium shutters. Tim Old, the owner, decided to tackle this problem with the help of a shopfronts grant. He decided to go beyond just getting the shutters painted in a colour, but to turn them into a feature.

The shutters now feature a false perspective of the shopfront including the recessed door with handle. The paintwork also features signwriting and model and tools motif.
