This is a very large frontage on a busy dominant corner site. The shopfront had some very good original features but they had become obscured with many coats of clogged on paint! Some woodwork was in very bad repair so it was accepted that this could take quite a while to renovate. The long period of wet weather made this even more difficult. Valentines' owners are enthusiastic about their building and very keen to see the building looking its best. Meticulous restoration of missing/damaged features was carried out. Some wonderful detail was discovered on the fascia in the form of two monograms (N.T.S) with filigree guilding on glass. Neal's Tea (Shop ?)

Pale cream masonry paint is used throughout with Heritage red and black gloss work. Detailing on the woodwork is picked out in gold. This is a very handsome building which now lives up to its potential. A very attractive and dramatic colour scheme worked out by Valentines (or the aesthetic part of the partnership!)

Hand painted signage will be added soon.
