About us

From small beginnings in 2000, Pentyrch Open Gardens has grown over the years and so has the enjoyment amongst visitors.  They not only find inspiration, but also exchange many handy tips and ideas.  We are very pleased that, in 2006, two of our gardens featured in ITV’s Britain’s Best Back Gardens; in 2007, two became Cardiff in Bloom winners; and on 14 June 2009, six opened as part of the National Gardens (Yellow Book) Scheme.  This will have given Pentyrch inspiration to an even wider public.  All funds raised by Pentyrch Open Gardens are donated to good causes in the community.

The broad variety of exciting gardens is complemented by excellent refreshments around the village and a sizeable plant sale.  Courtesy buses are available should your legs get weary.

Visitors regularly comment on the friendliness of the villagers, which has helped contribute to the ongoing success of this annual event.  Why not pay us a visit?  There is always plenty to do for the whole family - it is a great day out.
