Tenth anniversary season gets off to a flying start

The tenth anniversary season for Pentyrch Open Gardens got off to a flying start in May when the annual Plant Sale was held at the village hall.  The event raised more than £1000 and the standard of plants produced for sale by Sue Cragg and other local gardeners was superb.

The Open Gardens weekend will be held this year on 18th and 19th July.  Thirty-two gardens will be opening their gates to visitors from far and wide.  There will be delicious home-made refreshments in the village hall and at St Catwg's Church, and a plant sale at 6 Cefn Bychan.  Entry is by programme, price £5, which is valid for Saturday and Sunday.  Programmes will be available at the village hall during the weekend, or from the organisers if you want to get one beforehand - telephone 029 2089 9331 to enquire.

On Sunday 12th July, there will be a Songs of Praise for Open Gardens service in St Catwg's Church at 6pm, to which everyone is invited.
