Parc Rhydlafar is now a fine development of houses built around the turn of the twenty-first century on the north-western outskirts of Cardiff.  The aim of this website is to produce a lasting memory of the hospital which previously stood here, and of the struggle to save it before its eventual closure in 1998.

More comprehensive accounts of Rhydlafar’s past can be found in The Garth Domain series published by Pentyrch and District Local History Society, and available for purchase from local stores and Post Offices.
