Woodseats Holiday Home Park is a small, peaceful, family run park set in beautiful countryside surrounded by magnificent views of the Derbyshire/Cheshire border. We are situated on the outskirts of the charming village of Charlesworth three miles from Glossop.

The Proprietors

Woodseats is family affair, the park being owned and managed by David and Janette Lyon, who are resident on site. We are here to help and provide a friendly but efficient service to our Holiday Home owners.

What we offer

We can offer you the chance to own your own Holiday Home in the peace and tranquillity of the High Peaks of Derbyshire. We have no Club and do not allow dogs on the park (guide dogs excepted), and offer magnificent views of rolling hills and countryside. The park is open from 1^st February to 31^st December. A reduction of £130 per year is available for 8 months use. We operate in accordance with the Code of Practice as approved by the British Holiday & Home Park Association, and a written contract is always provided.

How to get there

 Although quiet and secluded, access could not be easier, being only fourteen miles from the centre of Manchester and within an hours drive of Merseyside, Preston, Bolton, Wigan, Leeds and Sheffield. Please request brochure for details.

Pitch Fees

The annual pitch fee at Woodseats is £1,275 / £1145 for 11 / 8 month use - payable on 1^st February. ( 2008 rates )

Fee includes rates and water rates. Electricity is metered to each unit and LPG gas is purchased on the site as required. Insurance is required, and can be arranged by the Park.

The park is open from 1^st February to 31^st December inclusive, but is not residential.

Buying your Holiday Home

Any make of new caravan can be supplied through our recommended dealer, WESTFIELD CARAVANS of Blackpool. (when pitches are available).

Please note that due to the access Lane to the Park, we are limited to TEN FEET wide models.

Local amenities

Dyson's of Charlesworth, the long established Village Store, is 3/4 mile from Woodseats and caters for all your day to day groceries. A 1/4 mile further on at the village centre is 'Peaches and Green', offering an excellent selection of greengroceries and fresh fish.

Also, at the heart of the village are two friendly establishments, 'The George and Dragon'& 'The Grey Mare'.

Charlesworth Village Post Office, Charlesworth Village News and Charlesworth Motors complete our village amenities.

Three miles out of the village lies the historic town of Glossop, famous for its Bank Holiday Street Markets. From Glossop the motorist can explore the delights of the Peaks or Dales quite easily within a day and Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are very popular.
