FORMATTING Scripts, on paper, or preferably on disc, (plain text or IBM MS Word 7.0 or earlier.) When using an Apple MAC computer the disk should have a PC format. To do this, format a new disc; selecting the PC format option. If this is done correctly, the disc icon will have the letters "PC" on it. If it is not done correctly, the disc will be unusable. When saving files from any program other than Word, do not simply copy them. They need to be saved in a Word format. Open the file using the correct program. Then for Word Perfect use File Save as Save file as type MS Word for Windows 2.0c (*.doc) Other versions of MS Word are fine, up to 6.0. For other word processing packages, a similar sequence will be needed |
PAYMENT I'm very proud of these first issues! I'm also ambitious. I want an exciting and successful magazine that inspires excited readers as much as it provides a forum for excellent writers. Unfortunately I am unable to pay contributors. Everything is being done voluntarily bar a token payment to the designer (of the magazine: even this web site is not paid for!), proper payment to Post Office Counters Ltd, and to the printers. Every other penny is going and will go into the magazine. When, and if, it makes money I'll be glad to pay - and properly! I hope that's not just in my dreams. | ||||||||
