The Tuesday Occasionals
The Tuesday Occasionals are a small group of singers who specialise in the church choral traditions of 18th and 19th century England and the US, known as West Gallery and Shape Note Music. The TOs are predominantly a performance group, giving about ten concerts a year throughout the East Midlands and beyond in churches, theatres and at folk festivals. Unaccompanied West Gallery and Shape Note Music provides the mainstay of the repertoire but material from the folk, gospel and mainstream church music traditions are occasionally included to meet the requirements of particular events.
