The Pratt Hobbies D-Region Tomahawk is a sport scale kit of the famous NASA sounding rocket. The Tomahawk has excellent stability and sleek good looks. With special triple-thick body tubes, 3 inch tube couplers, and laser cut Lite Ply fins, this model will stand up to a lot of serious sky punching.
Our D-Region kit is a 7.2 to 1 scale model with accurate dimensions. The body is 1.25 inches in diameter. The molded plastic nose cone is the correct shape. The laser cut fins can be precisely airfoiled and shaped for scale competition. We even include precut self-adhesive brown and red film for the payload section color pattern.



The Tomahawk comes with parts to build motor

mounts that will accept all sizes of model rocket motors presently on the market (except mini engines). You can pick the motor size you like and make the motor mount permanent, or with a little extra effort you can build interchangeable adapters for 18mm and 24mm diameter motors. Kevvlar shock cord and HeatShield are included, of course.
We have flown Tomahawks with the following motors: Quest A6-4; Estes A8-3, B6-4, C6-3, C5-3, D12-5; AeroTech C4-3, D13-5, E15-7, F11-7, G35-7; Kosdon E40-8; NCR F52-7; and DPS F55-12 and F105-12 experimental motors.
