What We Will Try To Do For You

What You Can Try To Do For Us

We are committed to giving you the best possible service that can be attained by working together as a team. We like to feel that you are partners in the care that you receive and we ask that you accept your own responsibilities in turn.
You will always be treated with courtesy and respect. Please treat all surgery staff with the same courtesy and respect you would expect from them.
We will always offer the treatment we believe is the best, by a suitably qualified person, with your informed consent. Ask if you are unclear about your treatment and try to follow medical advice offered.
We will provide information about our services from our staff and in our Practice booklet. Please try to phone before 10.30 a.m. if you need a home visit.
We will make every effort to see you promptly. Medical emergencies will receive immediate attention and there will be a duty doctor available each day for urgent problems. If you wish to speak to a doctor, please telephone reception to arrange a suitable time.
We will offer a routine appointment with a doctor within two working days. Only ask for urgent appointments, emergency consultations or home visits when appropriate.
We will arrange a home visit if you are too ill or infirm to attend the surgery. Please use the out-of-hours emergency service for genuine emergencies only..
There will be an emergency doctor available outside surgery opening hours at all times. This service is the responsibility of Mendip PCT. Let us know as soon as possible if you cannot keep an appointment.
We will inform you how to get the results of tests and X-rays. Please phone for results of tests between 2-4 pm.
Repeat prescriptions will be available after 2.00 pm the day after being requested. Request repeat prescriptions by posting or dropping your request form into surgery whenever possible.
We will strive to promote good health through preventive medicine. Be understanding when unexpected emergencies delay your own consultation.
We will respect patients' rights of confidentiality and access to medical records within the law. We comply with the Data Protection Act and the Access to Medical Records Act. Many illnesses can be prevented through healthy living. Find out about the Health Promotion activities we offer.
We will try to deal promptly with any problems or complaints. Please speak to your doctor or the Practice Manager. Many illnesses can be detected early through screening programmes. Please take advantage of these.
